Honouring or Dishonouring Muslims
The Private Secretary of Her Majesty the Queen

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II,
Buckingham Palace,
London SW1A 1AA, England
Your majesty “a very Happy Birthday” and May you live longer and healthier.
Your majesty I am writing with great grief on your Happy occasion of Birthday that you have honour knighthood to that person who is the heart breaker for all the Muslims in the world your majesty happy occasion with due respect make us all Muslims sad. Your majesty always the symbol of peace and harmony for common wealth countries and people of these countries respect in this connection. In Pakistan though people might feel that west is not doing justice to harmonize the world erratic situation but still people of Pakistan love your majesty….. But It is quiet astonishing and painful that your majesty honour Knight to Rushdie……. leave a side his great work in literature but your majesty must think for moment before deciding what your majesty have decided now.
We all Muslims feel that your majesty doest know that how much we hurt by this decision. The fact of the matter is that he is guilty of what we Muslims could not ever imagine. I ask with due respect why you took such decision? Why your majesty did not think about the feeling of Muslims? Why? Why?
This is the universal understanding and the very rudiment of Democracy that when majority want something it should be given and the majority of Muslims does not want this. To honour rushdie mean to dishonour all the Muslims and their faith.
I humbly requested you to please revert your decision and grace your majesty.
Looking with little hope that your majesty might change the decision
Yours truly,
Wasim Malik
